  • The road transport ministry on Monday launched a dashboard containing list of dhabas and truck repair shops. In addition, the National Highways Authority of India's centralised call number 1033 has also been enabled to answer calls and help drivers/cleaners to find information about the dhabas and repair shops along National Highways."The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has created a dashboard link on its website for providing list and details of dhabas and truck repair shops available across the country by various organisations like NHAI, states, oil marketing companies. The list can be accessed at https://morth.nic.in/ Dhabas-truck-repair-shops-opened-during-covid-19," the ministry said in a statement.

  • Maruti Suzuki has announced several initiatives on Monday in a bid to help its employees and communities around its manufacturing facilities in Haryana.

 Also, the automaker has claimed that it installed 17 water ATMs in  16 villages in Haryana and up to  4,500 litres of clean water is being dispensed daily at Aliyar village while around 3,800 litres are being dispensed in Dhana villages at Manesar.
The automaker claimed that it has delivered over 120,000 cooked meals in the last three weeks, while more than 10,000 dry ration kits have been distributed to community members through local administration and the Indian Red Cross Society.


  •  Hyundai Motor India on Monday announced a donation of Rs 7 crore to the PM CARES Fund, amidst the COVID-19 crisis.The South Korean automaker had earlier pledged Rs 5 crore to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Relief Fund. 

 
SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India said, “Our contribution to the PM   CARES Fund stands testament to solidarity we hold with the people of India, amidst this crisis. In challenging times such as these, we are pledging to bring about ‘Progress for Humanity’ and will continue giving back to help India defeat this adversity.” 
As per the company, it is also giving imported diagnostic test kits worth Rs 4 crore



  • NEW DELHI: The auto components industry is in preparatory mode and resumption of production will depend on whether the factories are in green zones or permissible areas or not, and if their customers resume operations, ACMA said on Monday.
    Under the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for the extended lockdown period up to May 3, the government, private industries and industrial establishments operating in rural areas, outside the limits of municipal corporations and municipalities, have been allowed to operate from April 20.
    Moreover, manufacturing, industrial units with access control in special economic zones (SEZs), export oriented units, industrial estates, industrial townships have also been allowed.
